about me
A Life of Stories,
A Heart for Connection
I’m Izumi Tosa, and my story is one of blending cultures, finding purpose, and creating genuine connections.
Stories That Shape My Approach
Born in Japan and living across continents, I’ve built a life shaped by stories and fueled by a deep appreciation for authentic, human connection.
In fact my name "Izumi (いづみ)" means "fresh spring of water", and my last name "Tosa" includes the letter "To (と)" , that has a meaning of "connection" and "togetherness". And that is why my little green logo has taken its shape !
My background spans over two decades in corporate brand management at Wacom, where I learned that a brand is more than a business—it’s a promise that resonates with people. Now, as a ChaosClarity™ Framework Recognition Consultant, I’m here to help small and medium-sized businesses bring their unique stories to life in ways that truly connect with audiences.
My approach is simple but impactful: helping you find clarity and purpose so you can reach people across borders, with authenticity at the core.
Let’s explore how your story can inspire connection.
In addition to my consulting work, I've had the privilege of sharing my journey and insights with university students as a guest speaker at Komazawa University in Japan. I also took on the meaningful task of translating the book Feminism is for Boys (Japanese Edition), which allowed me to bring important ideas on equality and empowerment to a broader audience. These experiences continue to shape my understanding of connection and authenticity, both in life and in business.
A little bit more about me in my personal life... I was born in Tokyo, moved to New Jersey before I even spoke Japanese, and lived an expat family life till my high school years in Singapore.
Somehow I was drawn to the crazy college life in Tokyo, and joined Wacom straight out of college. And I dedicated the next 22 years of my career to this global company, which has opened up opportunities I never thought I could have, and as the cherry on the top, I met the love of my life, my husband Jens there too!
I currently live in Germany, loving the non-air-con environment and the surrounding nature around me, while exploring my passion for connecting with friends and family from all around the world.
If you are interesting in Life In Germany and the stories that shape who I am today, you might also enjoy reading my Omotenashi Diaries....well, at least my friends and family love it, and that's a good enough reason for me to keep writing!
